James Ivy has released his trip-hop, shoegaze, and new wave pop-infused EP, Everything Perfect today via FADER label. The new track follows an extensive North American run in support of keshi, including two nights at NYC’s Radio City and two nights at the Greek Theater in LA, as well as the acclaimed singles “L-Trip“, Involved” and “Under Tongues,” which fuse pop-rock nostalgia redolent of The La’s, Portishead and Michelle Branch.
James Ivy is an NYC-based 23-year-old producer, singer, and songwriter. At just 15 years old, James was already performing at iconic Manhattan venue Chinatown Chalet and a part of an innovative online electro-music community which directly led to the rise of PC Music and hyper-pop. For his new music, he’s detached from the computer and has begun writing with the guitar in hand. The result is something that’s simultaneously grungy and dreamy—a confluence that remains honest to where he’s been and where he wants to go. He released his debut EP, Good Grief!, in the Fall of 2020 via FADER Label, which he performed alongside Porter Robinson opening for his nurture tour through North America and Europe in 2021-2022.
