LA indie newcomers, Polyglam have released their debut single “Adored” today. Inspired by a night with an old Hollywood friend, the song’s lyrics express a desire to see the best in someone, despite constant disappointment. The track features an atmospheric, melancholy intro, woven together with a nylon guitar, violin pizzicato, and a mellotron, setting the tone for a dreamlike, nostalgic tune. Listen to it now below.
Polyglam was formed one summer when three acquaintances were left to house-sit a music producer’s home. Like ships passing in the night, they coordinated responsibilities: feed the dog, walk the dog, water the plants. Until one day, they crossed paths and gravitated to the home studio, where an immediate connection was made. Many hot days overlooking the Silverlake Reservoir helped shape their dreamlike, nostalgic tone, and what felt like a true summer camp romance turned into a band. The trio features Allie Stamler on lead vocals/strings (Role Models, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp, MAX, Dove Cameron), Rachel White on guitar/keys (Panic! At the Disco, Weezer), and John Sinclair (Weezer, Andrew McMahon) on bass/drums/backing vox/keys. The band will release more new music throughout 2023.
