22 year-old singer/songwriter, Eleanor Kingston has released her new single, “The Moon Doesn’t Follow Your Car” today. The “left of center”, anthemic pop banger shines light on her longing to be a naively optimistic, wide-eyed kid again and the trials of growing up. Carried by nostalgic, grungy beats and moody vocals, the stunning track can be heard now below.
Crafted at a “low point” in the artist’s life, Eleanor continues to alchemize the respective resistance in her life into audible gold. Speaking about the song, she said, “Reminiscing on that time of childhood innocence, when everything adults regard as impossible was tangible, I created the gritty, rock inspired song to cope with my nostalgia.”
A self-taught music producer and true poet, Eleanor doesn’t hold back when telling the true to life details of her story and her music is poignantly cinematic. As a vocal ambassador of the LGBTQ+ movement, strong advocate for mental health, and author of many female-empowerment tracks, Eleanor has created a safe space for her listeners.
