Dynamic producer and DJ, Godlands continues her hot streak of genre-bending tracks with her powerful new single, “Crashing,” out today on Monstercat Uncaged. The record marks the third single from her EP, arriving next month, and continues the project’s narrative of her experience with Imposter Syndrome and other personal battles. Although she reworked the track multiple times, Godlands overcame feelings of self-doubt and delivered a powerful electronic record.
Godlands shares, “With my visuals, I wanted to show how I sometimes process the overwhelming feeling of perfection and the constant ‘devil on your shoulder’ that tends to speak up while creating music. This song had been rewritten so many times because I didn’t think it was perfect. I’m learning to ‘let it be’ and believe in myself and my skills.”
Having received support from triple J, BBC, and electronic heavyweights such as Alison Wonderland and SLANDER is a promising indication of Godlands’ upward trajectory in the electronic circuit. This year, she will also take over the decks at Tomorrowland for her second time, and will have more performances to announce. Fans can also stay tuned for more diverse offerings from Godlands’ EP that showcase her multi-genre dexterity in her productions.
