Brooklyn alt pop singer/songwriter, Elliot Lee has released their vulnerable new single, “Easy To Be You” today. Dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community and released during Pride Month, the track is a powerful anthem about struggling with self image and the journey of discovering one’s identity. Listen to it now below.
Speaking about the track, Elliot confides that it is, “about struggling with self image and identity expression as a queer person. It’s meant to encapsulate the (sometimes self-imposed) ebb and flow of femininity and masculinity that many of us experience and also to portray the frustration that comes with seeing other people seem to fit so easily and comfortably into those categories.”
Elliot Lee’s project is about being boundaryless. Elliot is LGBTQIA+, openly non-binary and an advocate for Autism Awareness. The artist has racked up millions of plays on Spotify and their music has been added to such high profile playlists as New Music Friday, Indie Pop, Bedroom Pop among many others.
