Danish melodic rock band, Capitals have returned with their new single, “Too Much Noise“, their first new song since their self-titled EP, released in 2021. On the new track, it is not far from Copenhagen to the USA. You will clearly be able to hear the inspiration from Springsteen and The Killers, with bombastic drums forming a pulsating beat surrounded by synthesizers, rich telecaster chords and a soulful vocals. Listen to the track now below.
Lead singer Kenneth Nefling says about the release, “In the last few years we have spent a lot of time developing as a band. We have been in the rehearsal room a lot, where we have worked on a lot of new material, which points in many different directions. It is an important driving force for us as a band that we do not limit ourselves in our songwriting, as our sources of inspiration also range from the Eurovision Song Contest to hard rock. We always go for the good melody as a common denominator for our songs, and in the end we are not afraid that our songs are too different, because no matter what, we always sound like CAPITALS.”
When the band got together in 2018, Kenneth Nefling, Jakob Woo Slavensky and Kristján Hyun Slavensky had in common that they had moved from the province to Copenhagen. It is precisely the common background that has characterized the band, where the move from the province to the big city is rooted in both sound and expression. The province in particular is still a soft spot for CAPITALS, who, in connection with the band’s releases in 2023, plan to visit several places around the country and fire up their Copenhagen stadium rock.
