Notaker has returned with his new single, “Speed of Light” featuring Eric Lumiere, taken from his upcoming LP, Echoes In Eternity, out this summer. The new track follows the album’s lead single, “Rainbow Eyes” featuring Danyka Nadeau, released last month and finds him reuniting with Eric Lumiere once more after their previous collaboration, “Each Other” back in 2019. Listen to the track now below.
Speaking about the track, Notaker said, “After ‘Each Other’ Eric and I couldn’t leave it at just one collaboration between us so we threw some ideas back and forth for a while and came up with ‘Speed of Light’. The production really compliments Eric’s incredible voice and singing abilities. It was a true treat to get to work with him once more.”
The second track to be unveiled prior to his debut album release is another vocal anthem that accentuates the creative range and quality of Notaker’s productions. From Danyka Nadeau in previous single “Rainbow Eyes” to Eric Lumiere in “Speed of Light,” Notaker has hit bonafide home runs with his vocalists, selectively choosing artists who align perfectly with his style and sonic aesthetic. There’s a freeing, inspiring undertone to his newest release, once again showcasing Notaker’s innate ability to tie profound emotion into his sweeping melodies and shimmering synth work.
Speaking about the album, he said, “Over the past four years of constructing this album, I’ve asked myself time and time again what I want it to say about me and where I am as an artist. To me, this body of work is the next iteration of my project that establishes a limitless reality for my creative side to live in. Marcus Aurelius once said “what we do now echoes in eternity.” I believe that parallels what my intentions are with this album.”
Best known for his midtempo-progressive style, Notaker’s newest fits the bill, taking listeners on an emotional ride and setting the stage for more music to come. Throughout the Echoes In Eternity, fans will experience Notaker’s signature sound in a plethora of new ways paired with creative foley, cinematic interludes, and messages from the “unknown.”
