LA based progressive pop, art rock band Antenna the End have released their debut single, “Blah Blah Blah (Chameleon Sentences),” today via Toys of The Masses. Written by vocalist and bassist, David Hakopyan, arranged by vocalist/guitarist Tadeh Petrossian and drummer Brock Bowers, and produced by Kyle Mann and Hakopyan, the bombastic groove and energetic beat juxtaposes the moody lyrics of the track, weaving a story of being overwhelmed by the “Chameleon Sentences & Blah Blah Blah” we face in certain situations, particularly in our current socio-political climate, where everyone’s an expert and has an opinion… Get ready to bang your heads, move your hips, ignite your brains and BlahBlahBlah.
“Blahblahblah, blahblah, blahblahblah blahblah…,” shares David Hakopyan. “But ultimately Blahblahblah, then more blahblahblah, who knows maybe it’s just blahblahblah…”
In addition to the newest single, Antenna the End is set for a short residency in September at Toys of the Masses’ studio in Los Angeles, CA. Their Virgo Residency kicks off tomorrow night, September 9th, in celebration of the release of their debut single and will continue every Saturday throughout the month. These shows will be a one of a kind experience where you might even hear a teaser for some new music.
Antenna the End (AtE) is a Progressive Pop, Art Rock band spearheaded by Armenian – American Songwriter & Producer, David Hakopyan (The Apex Theory, Soil [early incarnation of System of A Down]).
A few years after The Apex Theory dissolved, Hakopyan felt a certain void and from that songs started coming and ideas started flowing. Antenna the End was born during this transitional moment in David’s life. After a few years of writing when inspiration came knocking, the band is now ready to share the music they’ve been working on. This is the first time Hakopyan has ever stepped up to the mic, becoming yet another bassist/vocalist whose songs just aren’t the same unless he’s singing it.
