Moroccan born-LA based singer/songwriter, Faouzia has released her deeply moving new single, “Fur Elise”. Produced by Gray Hawken (Jack Harlow, Joyner Lucas), the track takes its title from the beloved bagatelle by Ludwig van Beethoven.
Reflecting upon the lyric “Drown me in your twisted melodies,” Faouzia says, “My entire life, I spent my time drowning myself in complex and beautiful classical pieces. At the age of five, I started my musical journey on the piano. Ever since I could remember I would always reach for the pieces that would feel dark and intense or somber and melancholic. ‘Fur Elise’ is my way of paying homage to those many years I spent locked in my house playing my out of tune keys until my fingers were sore through the creation of a dark and twisted version of an absolute classic.”
“Fur Elise” marks the newest musical chapter for Faouzia following last year’s iconic “DOLL SUMMER,” highlighted by such singles as the luminous “IL0V3Y0U,” which was preceded by the fiercely energetic “La La La” and its equally vibrant Ty Sunderland Remix.
