Cian Ducrot is kicking off a massive new era as he shares his brand new single “Here It Is” via Darkroom/Capitol. The reaction to the track’s teasers suggests “Here It Is” could be Cian’s biggest moment so far, with 3.6 million views and over 250,000 interactions to date as well as constant demands to release the song. “Here It Is” lives up to that impassioned response, as Cian’s vulnerable vocal exhibits the hurt and heartbreak that come when you realize that a cherished love is nearing the end of the road. It’s a song that encapsulates everything fans have come to love Cian for, but with its charged emotions set to stun. Cian wrote and produced the track with Tristan Salvati (Angèle).
Speaking about the song, Cian says, “‘Here It Is’ is a song I wrote about the aftermath of something tragic tearing a relationship apart. Sometimes something happens and no matter how hard the two people try to heal and make things better it’s not enough and they begin to fall apart.”
After cementing his status as one of 2023’s biggest breaking artists with the release of his debut album, Cian spent much of the remainder of the year with a victory lap consisting of numerous sold-out headline shows across the UK, Ireland and the US and appearing on Good Morning America, surprising Hoda for a special rendition of his now viral single. His rise was full of landmark moments for Cian, from landing two Top 20 hits with “All For You” (certified Platinum) and “I’ll Be Waiting” (Gold) to winning the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year for “Heaven,” and most recently exceeding a billion career streams.
Since then, Cian has co-written and contributed backing vocals to SZA’s recent single “Saturn” which has already exceeded 100 million streams; played the all-star Hits Live! arena shows; and reunited with Ella Henderson for their second collaboration together. But his main focus has been on writing a wealth of new material.
Cian’s summer touring gets underway next month, with a mix of huge outdoor headline shows (including a 20,000 capacity homecoming at St. Anne’s Park in Dublin), strong billing at festivals both in the UK and Europe, and select shows as special guest to Jess Glynne.
