Local Natives Release New Album, “But I’ll Wait For You”

Local Natives But Ill Wait For You

Local Natives have released their sixth studio album, But I’ll Wait For You via Loma Vista Recordings. The new album is a culmination of nearly two decades of brotherhood, and a mantra of reassurance in response to relentless changes. In a statement about the album the Local Natives said “’But I’ll Wait For You’” is the companion piece to our 2023 release ‘Time Will Wait For No One’. Maybe not an answer to a question but an exhale to an inhale. There is so little that’s in our control but among all this chaos, we can choose to be there for each other.”

The album showcases the band’s seminal harmonies as well as an adventurousness that explores new territory for the Local Natives. Its release is accompanied by the track “Throw It In The Fire” – its percussion soaked soundscape is intensified by yearning, three-part harmonies.

Local Natives will play the short film at select theaters on the upcoming Time Will Wait For No One But I’ll Wait For You tour, which kicks off May 3 at BeachLife Festival at Redondo Beach, CA. On April 26, fans can join a digital watch party for the film on Veeps with the purchase of a merch product or tickets can be bought HERE.

2023’s Time Will Wait For No One was produced by GRAMMY-award winning producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, Death Cab For Cutie, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten), Michael Harris (Lana Del Rey, Feist), and Danny Reisch (Sun June, Other Lives).
