Buzzing Nashville alternative band, Jive Talk have released their electrifying and entrancing new single, “Rat People” today. The track notably marks the group’s official debut for War Buddha/Warner Records, following their recent signing.
Teeming with uncontainable energy, the track hinges on a gritty head-nodding guitar riff, slick bass line, and driving beat accented by dreamy analog synths. The soundscape tosses and turns on the axis of an uneasy, yet undeniable groove, alternating between propulsive rhythms and arresting melodies. The ethereal bridge culminates on one final burst of emotion as frontman Oliver Pierce wonders, “Do we just stay here, or do we just stay like this?” It lands in the wake of their fan favorite 2023 EP, The Business. Since its arrival, it has generated over half-a-million streams and counting.
Jive Talk is set to kick off their tour on May 8 in Boone, NC with additional stops in Boston, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and more in addition to an appearance at Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Full tour routing can be found below and tickets can be purchased HERE. WNSM Radio states, “I think they might be addictive.
