Scotland-born, New York-based singer-songwriter Elliot Greer has released his mesmerizing new track “Intruders” today via Arista Records. A fitting song for Mental Health Awareness Month, his raw vocals are paired with an energetic backing to carry his poetic insight to the struggles of anxiety.
Elliot goes more in-depth, explaining, “‘Intruders’ is a brief look into my mental health and psyche. For many years, I’ve struggled with anxiety and intrusive thoughts. I’ve never taken the traditional approach regarding therapy or medicine. Instead, I’ve looked at every corner of my life and tried to examine the ‘why’ and the root of it all. This is the most vulnerable I’ve ever been with my lyrics, so to create contrast with the raw lyricism, I paired it with an up-tempo melody and production. I hope this song helps people know that no one is truly alone.”
This summer, Elliot will be heading across the pond for his UK Tour followed by stops at Parken Festival and the Stockholm Roots Festival. Tickets are available for purchase HERE.
