Rauw Alejandro has released “Carita Linda”, a hypnotic blend of neo-bomba with an irresistible urban beat that elevates Puerto Rico’s traditional rhythms to new heights. “Carita Linda” is now available on all digital platforms.
The music video, directed by Martin Seipel and El Zorro, filmed in Puerto Rico, is a heartfelt love letter to the Island of Enchantment, highlighting the richness of its culture while paying tribute to its people. Neo-bomba rhythms, cultural expressions like the iconic Puerto Rican vejigantes, and Afro-Boricua traditions are at the core of this visual production, which also features scenes from Rauw’s upbringing in the eastern part of the island—specifically in the towns of Carolina, Loíza, and Canóvanas.
“Carita Linda” premiered during the opening night of the Cosa Nuestra World Tour in Seattle, WA, and quickly went viral on social media. It marks Rauw Alejandro’s first single following the release of his most recent studio album, Cosa Nuestra. On his first tour accompanied by a live band, Rauw delivered an electrifying performance that took his signature futuristic sound to another level—featuring theatrical staging, high-energy choreography, powerful live instrumentation, and a meticulously crafted visual narrative. The music video premiered on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Flow Latino, and on Paramount billboards in Times Square.
“Carita Linda” is part of the setlist for the Cosa Nuestra World Tour, a sold-out run of over 20 dates across some of the most iconic venues in North America. Produced by Live Nation, the tour showcases a high-impact show where Rauw performs his biggest hits alongside tracks from his new album, offering fans a one-of-a-kind experience. In June, the tour heads to Europe with confirmed shows in cities including London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, and Milan, concluding on July 11 in Barcelona, Spain.
