Today, rising country musician Sam Williams has “No Problem” channeling all the feels with his new sultry song. Accompanying the song is a striking black-and-white music video that beautifully captures the essence of young, soft, queer love. The visual follows Sam and his love interest in fleeting, intimate moments of stolen glances and quiet laughter shared between them.
Penned by Williams, Nick Bailey, Michael Tyler, and Noah West, the song marks a striking evolution in Sam’s sound, blending an R&B-pop groove with his signature country twang. Sam’s soulful, velvety vocals shine over a smooth, rhythmic beat and a lush, pulsing arrangement as he glides through the laundry list of problems he has – tequila burns, two-lane curves, the morning sun – before confidently confessing, “I ain’t got a problem loving you, no / I ain’t got a problem in this room, no / I don’t ever wanna leave this bed / Love it when you’re layin’ on my chest / I ain’t got a problem, baby / I ain’t got a problem loving you”
Of the track, Sam says, “I thought it’d be fun to make a song that had an R&B-pop vibe to it because that’s what I grew up listening to. ‘No Problem’ is a confident, romantic love letter that embodies the energy of Act II: unapologetically honest, gutsy, and layered with complex emotions.”
“No Problem” and the previously released title track “COUNTRYSTAR” will both be featured on Sam’s forthcoming project Act II: COUNTRYSTAR, due for release on July 11 – pre-save HERE. The vibrant and daring seven-song project underscores Williams’ versatile songwriting skills. To bring this new sound to life, Sam collaborated with producer Nick Bailey, whose credits include Lana Del Rey, Quavo, Maroon 5, and Blake Shelton, and producer Yung Lan (Morgan Wallen, Lil Uzi Vert).
Sam continues to push Nashville into bold new territory with his fearless creativity and boundary-pushing sound. With Act II: COUNTRYSTAR on the horizon, it’s clear that Sam is bringing a whole new energy to this three-act trilogy.
