Breakout alt-pop artist Adrian Lyles is back with a relentless and fast-paced new song, “Concrete Boy,” out now via Hollywood Records. Along with the track, Adrian has unveiled a music video that highlights its high-voltage sound as Adrian and his band give an explosive performance at a grungy dive bar. Watch the music video HERE and listen to the song on Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify.
“Concrete Boy” maintains Adrian’s knack for clever hooks and introspective songwriting, but injects it with adrenaline-infused production by GRAMMY®-winning producer Oak Felder (Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino, Alessia Cara, Demi Lovato). On the track, Adrian shares, “’Concrete Boy’ is about the concept of growing up and trying to remember where you came from! It’s a 2-minute bolt of energy about roots and trying not to lose yourself.”
The song marks Adrian’s fourth release, following “King Of Everything,” “Somewhere To Go,” and “Formalize Me,” which have received praise from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Tonight, Ones to Watch, and more.
Earlier this year, Adrian embarked on his first-ever solo tour with almost monday, where he played the new tracks along with unreleased songs from his forthcoming debut record. Adrian is no stranger to a dynamic live performance – Ones to Watch proclaimed that his “smooth vocals and magnetic stage presence set the perfect tone, making for a show that felt like a celebration of pure, unfiltered joy.”
Adrian’s musical journey began with piano lessons at just three years old and continued throughout middle and high school with Adrian performing gigs around Dallas, TX with increasing frequency. In 2022, Adrian starred as “Jet” on Seasons 3 and 4 of Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, contributing several fan favorite recordings to the show’s official soundtrack. With over a decade of experience playing live and songwriting, Adrian is ready to wear his heart on his sleeve on his forthcoming debut album.
