BETWEEN FRIENDS Share New Single, “XD”

    By Dom VigilJune 29, 2025
    BETWEEN FRIENDS XD

Los Angeles alt-pop outfit BETWEEN FRIENDS have shared their new single “XD” — out now via 10K Projects along with an accompanying music video. Bolstered by glittery synths and a nostalgic, DIY visual, “XD” is an electric, uptempo bop that’ll have you fiending for the dance floor. It’s the latest outing from their recently announced sophomore album WOW! (due out August 1st) following recent singles “American Bitch”, “DJ”, and “1234567”.

Their most recent single was hailed by Cosmopolitan as a “swirling, glitch-drenched odyssey through late-night anxieties and adolescent reveries.” That theme runs deep throughout their forthcoming LP, which they describe as a “mid-twenties existential crisis while having the time of our lives.” The duo also recently announced that they’ll be embarking on their headlining international WOW! Tour! this fall, which kicks off on September 26th in San Francisco and will see them hit 31 cities across North America and Europe (get tickets HERE).

WOW! features co-production from a star-studded roster that includes super-producer Max Martin (Britney Spears, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande), Irish singer-songwriter EDEN, Swedish rising star DJ Suzy, and Tove Burman (Addison Rae), with mixing provided by Alex Ghenea (Sabrina Carpenter, Troye Sivan) and mastering courtesy of Randy Merrill (Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, Chappell Roan). Featuring cover artwork painted by London artist Alex Clayton, the album follows a whirlwind 2024 year that saw BETWEEN FRIENDS tour internationally with Conan Gray, complete a 35-date, sold-out North American tour, and release their Garage Sale EP, which featured underground hit “Eyes on my baby”. They worked closely on the project with pop heavyweight Luka Kloser, who co-wrote and produced Addison Rae’s recently released debut album, Addison. Hailing from Los Angeles, the brother-sister duo have amassed a dedicated fan base for their signature blend of glitchy beats and surreal nostalgia, racking up over a billion worldwide streams thanks to their cinematic, Y2K-inspired visuals and sharp pop hooks. Following cult favorite mixtapes like i like when you shine! and their 2023 debut album I Love My Girl, She’s My Boy, their forthcoming sophomore LP promises to explode their distinct universe into full technicolor.
