It was a gorgeous day at the Budweiser Events Center on March 20th. People were lined up at the doors, gaining entry for what to be one amazing show. Shinedown was heading their current world tour with support from Papa Roach and Asking Alexandria. When I first arrived, it wasn’t at full capacity but that quickly changed.
Asking Alexandria have come full circle with the release of their self-titled fifth album. A reintroduction to the band, this album welcomes back vocalist Danny Worsnop with fire, passion and a sense of vulnerability that makes it the band’s most explosive and versatile record yet. From the opening line, “I’ve been away a little while,” to the unexpected “Empire” and powerful closer, “Room 138,” these twelve songs find Asking Alexandria exploring their sound and pushing boundaries like they never have before.

The British Invasion Tour kicked off last night at the House of Blues in San Diego without a hitch. With a lineup that featured While She Sleeps, Asking Alexandria, and Bullet For My Valentine it’s no wonder a slew of fans were lined up hours before door time. And the wait totally paid off because the sold out show was absolutely killer.
