Tallahassee, FL’s Mayday Parade has launched the emotionally-powered music video for “Letting Go” today. “Letting Go” is taken from Mayday Parade’s newest release Black Lines, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Rock Albums Chart, #1 on the Alternative Albums Chart, and is available now on iTunes.
Director Dan Fusselman helped to create a visual representation of the parallel between Mayday Parade’s emotional performance with the haunting imagery of an astronaut floating into deep space. Noted by Rolling Stone as “a band that are all about big emotional payoffs,” Mayday Parade left no emotional stones unturned with this heartfelt ballad. While the song is about a sad relationship, Mayday Parade wanted to leave the interpretation up to their fans of how they can relate to it regarding things they are letting go of in their personal lives.
Mayday Parade are on the last leg of their co-headline tour with long-time friends The Maine, to wrap up this Friday, April 1st in Albuquerque, NM, followed by a slot on the Extreme Thing Sports & Music Festival in Las Vegas, NV. The band will then head overseas to play the Slam Dunk Festival in the UK, and have a full summer ahead with a Main Stage slot on the Vans Warped Tour 2016. Scroll down for full tour dates.
