Garbage has announced THIS IS THE NOISE THAT KEEPS ME AWAKE, an autobiographical coffee table book due out July 4, 2017 via Akashic Books. For the first time, the band’s four members (Shirley Manson, Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig) tell the story of their incredible journey in their own words. The book includes never before seen photographs of the band as well as pieces written by each of the four band members. THIS IS THE NOISE THAT KEEPS ME AWAKE was written with former Rolling Stone journalist Jason Cohen.
“We were starting to forget what we wanted to remember,” said Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson. “Twenty two years is a long time to keep track of the magic and the madness.”
THIS IS THE NOISE THAT KEEPS ME AWAKE is available for pre-order now HERE. The limited edition pre-order bundle includes a hardcover copy of the book, a custom-made collectible box, and a 12″ vinyl with six never before released live recordings of ballads: “Milk”, “You Look So Fine”, “Cup of Coffee”, “Bleed Like Me”, “Beloved Freak”, and “Even Though Our Love Is Doomed”.
