Denver alternative pop band, This Broken Beat have released the music video for their new single, “Sleep,” from their upcoming debut full-length album. The video comes just one day after the the announcement that the band will be playing this year’s Underground Music Showcase later this summer.
The video for “Sleep” was produced by Justin Urban of UrbanImpression and can be viewed below!
“‘Sleep’ has been more of a journey for us than anything. Many of our listeners started making the comment about how much of our music is major & upbeat, so it inspired us to try and write something more somber & and bit dark,” says the band of the song, “For the video we were so fortunate to catch a foggy day for the setting, which is exactly what we envisioned in the first place. The eerie nature aspect of the video helps capture the mood we wanted to create & helps portray some of those gloomy emotions we all feel. It is a production with subliminal messages all throughout so taking a few watch throughs & listens is crucial if you really want to understand it as a whole. Somedays staying in your bed with your dreams sounds much easier then going out to face life’s challenges, and we wanted to capture that emotion. “Awake is somewhere I get lost in”
