Los Angeles based alternative rock outfit, Rad Horror have released their new single, “Dark Times,” the lead single from their highly anticipated debut EP due out early next year. The track lives somewhere between modern, aggressive indie rock and the heyday of 90’s alternative with it’s loud thrash-y guitars, killer melodies and undeniably infectious hook.
Dylan Jackson Scott, the creative force behind Rad Horror, shows a great deal of command over the loud-soft dynamic that was at the heart of a good number of the prevailing rock anthems of the past thirty years while still managing to incorporate songwriting elements that give “Dark Times” a decidedly modern feeling. Listen to the track now below!
Scott offers these words regarding the meaning behind “Dark Times”
“Dark Times is a definitive nod toward mental illness and the self awareness that follows after a decade plus battle. It reaches into depths that many artists are afraid to touch, the way they truly feel about themselves and the sarcastic ass-hattery they lay onto the outside world.”
Rad Horror will be taking their dynamic live show on the road this month for a tour of the northeast with Kitten and Sizzy Rocket. All dates are below.
