Nashville singer/songwriter Kimi Most has revealed her emotional debut single, “Ride Together (Die Together).” Co-written by Most and Olivia Rudeen, “Ride Together (Die Together),” which can be heard now below, was inspired by a poem that Bonnie Parker (of Bonnie and Clyde) wrote while she was in prison.
In the original poem, Bonnie wrote,
“They call them cold-blooded killers;
They say they are heartless and mean;
But I say this with pride,
That I once knew Clyde
When he was honest and upright and clean.”
As a result, the song reflects the feeling when you see a little glimmer of light in someone, where the rest of the world sees only dark – it’s universal, whether you’re a pair of criminals or simply helplessly in love.
“Ride Together (Die Together)” can be streamed below and is available on iTunes and Spotify now.
Kimi Most grew up listening to country radio in a small town on the outskirts of Denver. She fell in love with the stories and melodies found in the songs, and in her teenage years began creating her own. In 2015, Kimi moved to Nashville to hone the craft of songwriting. She is currently working on her debut EP. For more information and to stay up to date with Kimi Most, follow her on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
