Today sees the release of Sekret Machines Book 2 – A Fire Within (To The Stars/Simon & Schuster), the second in a three-volume series of fiction novels co-written by multi-platinum artist Tom DeLonge and New York Times bestselling author A.J. Hartley (The Darwen Arkwright series).
Like its acclaimed predecessor, A Fire Within is a complex and thrilling read based on facts and actual events gleaned from the authors’ sources within the scientific, military and intelligence communities surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena. The much-anticipated book is available at To The Stars by clicking HERE and from Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

A Fire Within continues the story of heiress Jennifer Quinn, journalist Timika Mars, pilot Alan Young and ex-Marine Barry Regis – four people bonded by the incidents they’ve witnessed and who are being hunted by agents of a wealthy corporate cabal desperate for unimaginable power and possessed of extraordinary abilities they don’t understand, much less control. Now the quartet is on a mission of their own: as Alan and Barry test the limits of their strange gifts inside the military complex known as Dreamland, Jennifer and Timika begin a quest to locate an ancient tablet that may hold the answers to humanity’s greatest question: Are we alone in the universe?
A Fire Within is an action-packed saga of archeological adventure, government conspiracy, historical mystery and unimaginable technology.
“One of the largest areas of study when dealing with the UFO phenomenon is consciousness and the human mind,” says DeLonge. “A.J. was able to weave that into the storyline with a tapestry of information never before released. He’s providing us with an opportunity to learn more about ourselves and the greatest story never told.”
“Book One focused primarily on the machines themselves–hardware, if you like–but in the second installment of the series we push the story into the gray areas between the normal and the paranormal in more clearly human terms, exploring the idea that as technology might make exponential evolutionary progress, so might people themselves,” says Hartley. “The result continues the story of the first novel, picking up pretty much where it left off, but shifts the tonality of the narrative into new territory, new adventures and new sekrets.”
This past December, DeLonge’s company, To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, was the focus of worldwide attention after they found themselves at the center of a stunning New York Times exposé about “The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program” and included two of the first official U.S. government videos of unidentified aerial phenomena.
Luis Elizondo, the former military intelligence official who confirmed the existence of that hidden government program (the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program) is the Director of Global Security & Special Programs for To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science.
Three months later, To The Stars Academy posted a much-buzzed-about third video titled “Go Fast.” That clip, which can be seen on the TTSA Community of Interest site by clicking HERE, is an authentic DoD video that captures the high-speed flight of an unidentified aircraft at low altitude by a F/A-18 Super Hornet ATFLIR forward-looking infrared system. The “Go Fast” video reveals a previously undisclosed Navy encounter that occurred off the East Coast in 2015. The site also features an analysis of the video by TTSA’s Aerospace Division Director Steve Justice, National Security Affairs Advisor Chris Mellon and Elizondo.
