Waterparks spent the entire summer on the final cross country run of the Vans Warped Tour headlining the main stage. Their current tour continues celebration of the band’s most recent and most popular album Entertainment, which was released earlier this year. Fans can stream or purchase the album now through iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify.
Dallon Weekes, long time Panic At The Disco bassist who co-wrote that band’s massive hits “This is Gospel” and “Girls/Girls/Boys,” and drummer Ryan Seaman, just saw the release of 1981 Extended Play, the debut album from their once and future band, I Dont Know How But They Found Me (iDKHOW). Part archeological excavation, part forward-thinking vision, 1981 Extended Play was produced, written or co-written by Weekes, and recorded at various locations in Utah and California. The EP’s six songs are a catchy concoction of art rock, ’70s Glam, indie pop and alternative, with infectious, charismatic pop vocals. 1981 Extended Play is available here.
The project of lead singer Skyler McKee, Super Whatevr began as a vehicle for his poetry, when he started studying the craft of songwriting with the help of a friend and penning songs of his own. While the songs come from a dark place, they’re a reflection of a glimmer of hope amidst life’s struggles. The year has been one of intense touring and growth for Super Whatevr and will only make for a stronger 2019 with new music on the way.
