    Sophie Strauss Releases Video for “Sweetboy”

    Philadelphia nine piece OhBree might not take themselves too seriously, but their music and work ethic is no laughing matter. The band are just gearing up to release their new, and quite possibly most established record to date, but that's not the only thing they've been up to recently. On top of the impending release of Burn Bridges, Burn Pies on May 19th, OhBree have also been hard at work alongside Josh Didriksen on their accompanying children's book, So You Want To Store Your Silly Soul and are even in the process of creating Kill The Moon, a video game to accompany their discography. 

     


     

    Los Angeles singer-songwriter Sophie Strauss has released the video for her track, “Sweetboy.” The intimate video is filled to the brim with hazy, red tones and perfectly captures the theme of raw play between voyeurism and unapologetic sexuality that Sophie exudes.

    “Sweetboy” is taken from Sophie’s upcoming album Hard Study out on Dec. 14th. 

    Of the song Sophie explains, “It’s about knowing someone or something may be bad for you but sometimes you just don’t care; you have to have them back (at least for a little bit) and that’s okay.” The lyrics over the chorus, “I’m gonna let you back in,” are sung against field-sampled sounds of domesticity and comfort—the percussion of clothes spinning in the dryer.
