Welshly Arms Release New Single, “Learn To Let Go”

    By Dom VigilJanuary 11, 2019

In this day and age, there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong way to be in a band. With most artists opting to stay independent longer, reinventing themselves with each release and taking more (or less) time to release new music, musicians certainly have more creative freedom to do exactly what they want with their music, and “Quinton!” the new single from D.C. alternative/emo band, Petty War Club is a perfect example of just that.

Cleveland six-piece Welshly Arms unveils their new single “Learn To Let Go” today. The new track follows the band’s 2018 debut album No Place Is Home released via Republic Records, which features their breakout hits “Legendary” and “Sanctuary.”

Of the new song, frontman Sam Getz says, “As an artist, it’s so easy to get stuck in mental quicksand and overthink everything. ‘Learn To Let Go’ is a reminder to get out of your own head and move on from the past, to open yourself up to the possibilities that might be right in front of you.”

Since 2013, Welshly Arms have canvased nearly every corner of the globe spurned along by a bevy of seismic and show-stopping songs. Their 2017 EP, Legendary, boasted the ubiquitous title track, which to date has earned platinum certifications in Germany and Switzerland, cracked over 70 million Spotify streams, received 2 million Shazams and soared to Top 15 at Alternative Radio. Meanwhile, the band’s tracks have piped through campaigns for Miller, Hulu, NFL, Indian Motorcycles and Beck’s Beer, while “Hold On I’m Coming” roared over the trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-winning The Hateful Eight. Additionally, Welshly Arms lit up the stage at Jimmy Kimmel Live! and earned praise from the likes of Billboard, Relix, Paste, PopMatters, Indie Shuffle, Baeble, Ones To Watch and more. Last year, the group performed over 110 live shows—headlining their first North American tour and supporting Thirty Seconds To Mars and Walk The Moon—and at over 20 festivals around the world, including Lollapalooza, Firefly Music Festival, Hangout Music Festival, BottleRock and more.
