Los-Angeles based indie rock band Kid Bloom have released their latest single “Sugarcoat” today. Listen to the track now below.
Formed in 2015, the band has seen over 20 million Spotify streams since their first release “Different State of Mind.” Their single “Electric U,” can also be heard in the 2016 feature film Independence Day Resurgence. In fall of 2018, the band shared the stage with The Regrettes and The Neighbourhood on a stretch of West Coast tour dates, and will be releasing their EP Lemonhead this spring.
“Sugarcoat is very near and dear to my heart because it brings attention to the times I glaze over my problems with excuses,” explains vocalist Lennon Kloser on the band’s new single. “Its concept is melancholy, but you can’t help but feel happy when you hear it; like being at a relative’s wedding on acid.”
Fans can catch Kid Bloom with Keuning, featuring Dave Keuning of The Killers, at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on February 5th – tickets are available HERE. For more information on Kid Bloom, be sure to follow the band on Facebook and Instagram.
