Jackie Moon has released his debut track and music video for “TWYM (feat. ENZI)” today, which is the first of a series of collaborative tracks he is creating that showcases some of Denver’s most prominent pop artists. The first track features Denver’s own this broken beat and ENZI. Watch the video now below.
Jack Roberts used to front the Denver heavy-metal electronic crossover, Caramel Carmela, but is now turning his attention towards producing collaborative pop songs with the talent from his hometown. “TWYM” is a Pop/Dance track featuring vocals from this broken beat’s Julio Perez and Channel 933 KTCL Hometown for the Holidays 2018 winner, ENZI.
The release of the debut single on March 29th is paired with the music video release, directed by Shawbi and choreographed by Bobbie Jean. This modern, high-energy track is visually brought to life by dancers, dramatic effects, and unexpected twists.
Though Jack doesn’t sing on the songs, he produced all the music, worked with both Julio and Makenzie on the lyrics, and oversaw each step of the process.
In addition to the single, Jack is opening the doors to his new production studio on April 1st, which will offer recording, mixing, and post-production/scoring services to the Denver and Boulder area.
Jackie Moon is a new name to Denver music, but Jack Roberts first started performing in 2009 with Caramel Carmela. The band went on to play several tours visiting all over the US and opened for bands like Finch, Kid Cudi, Skrillex, Dance Gavin Dance, and Sleeping With Sirens to name a few. Caramel Carmela came to an end in 2015, which is when Jack began focusing on supporting the local music community with For The Love of Locals, while working his day job, scoring short films and commercials.
For 3 years he quietly worked on commercial projects but there were a handful of songs that he couldn’t part with. With this new material he thought it would be fun to include the artists he met through For the Love of Locals. His goal isn’t to perform, but to bring the community closer together and to help other local artists continue to grow their careers through collaboration.
