Tank and The Bangas Release Vevo Live Performance of “Nice Things”

    By Dom VigilApril 11, 2019

Eighteen Visions are back! Ten years ago, the band played what many thought would be the final show of their career, but a decade later, it feels like they haven’t even missed a beat. Complete with heavy hitting guitar work, vocals that feel like a punch to the gut and insightful, passionate lyricism, XVIII hits hard and never stops coming at you.

Tank and The Bangas have released their Vevo’ live performance for “”Nice Things”.” Watch the video now below.

Hailing from New Orleans, Tank and The Bangas are surrounded by plenty of grand musical traditions. The five-piece group has a rare knack for combining various musical styles – fiery soul, deft hip-hop, deep-groove R&B and subtle jazz – into one dazzling, cohesive whole that evokes the scope of New Orleans music while retaining a distinctive feel all its own.

Tank and The Bangas is fronted by Tarronia Ball, aka Tank, a singer and poet who can wail like Patti LaBelle, scold like Millie Jackson, and soliloquize like Jill Scott. The band’s instrumental core consists of musical director and drummer Joshua Jackson, keyboardist Merell Burkett, keyboardists and bassist Norman Spence, and saxophonist and flutist Albert Allenback. Their debut studio album Think Tankwas released independently in 2013, and following their win of NPR’s third Tiny Desk Contest, released a concert EP Live Vibes in mid-2018 as a part of the annual Record Store Day. Singles “Spaceships” and “Ants” came next, releasing in late 2019 and March of 2019 respectively. Catch Tank and The Bangas touring the US throughout the summer, and be sure to keep up with exclusive content from artists all over the world on YouTube.com/Vevo.
