Singer, songwriter and recording artist Greyson Chance has announced his upcoming The Portraits World Tour today, which will kick off in Seattle on July 11th and hit select cities in the U.S. before making numerous stops around the globe including China, Taiwan, the Philippines, England, Ireland, and Germany among others. The six-month trek will make its official decent on North America starting October 31st in Orlando and wrap January 24th in Bellingham, WA. Other notable U.S. stops in the fall include New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin and Oakland (full routing below).
The tour will continue to support Chance’s latest full-length effortportraits, which has received wide critical praise since its March release, with Billboard hailing the work as “purposeful” and “distinguished.” Included on the tour’s set list will be Chance’s current critically acclaimed single “shut up,” which to date has accumulated more than 20 million streams across all digital platforms, and was recently performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Chance is scheduled to perform the song on June 20th for his appearance on ABC’s hit show Strahan and Sara.
A native of Edmond, Oklahoma, Greyson Chance came into the national spotlight in 2010, after an unforgettable performance of Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” was viewed by over 60 million people on YouTube. What followed was a plethora of national television appearances, world tours and a debut album release “Hold On ‘Til The Night” in 2011. In 2012, Chance released his EP Truth Be Told, Part 1 which included single “Sunshine & City Lights,” followed by 2016’s EP release Somewhere Over My Head, including single “Back on the Wall.” Greyson came out publically as gay in 2017 and credits his family for making it a loving experience. An outspoken advocate for those who aren’t as fortunate to have a positive experience, Greyson uses his platform to be a resource and champion for others in the LGBTQ community.
All U.S. dates for The Portraits World Tour will go on-sale beginning today at 10AM PT/1PM EST. To purchase tickets and for further information, please visit www.greysonchancemusic.com.
