Indie pop act Ships Have Sailed have released the music video for their latest single, “Stay,” now available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and all DSP’s worldwide. In support of the new single, the band will perform at Madame Siam on June 13th – info & tickets for the show can be found HERE.
“We all have that person, if we’re lucky more than one, who we know will stick with us no matter what…your ride or die,” explains lead singer and songwriter Will Carpenter. “With ‘Stay’, I wanted to bottle that feeling into a dreamy, slightly retro aesthetic…we couldn’t be more excited to release this song into the world and feel people react.”
Ships Have Sailed released their debut EP Someday in 2013 – a diverse six-song collection which includes arena-ready singles (“Midnight”), acoustic serenades (“Clouds”), and explosive alt-rock bangers (“Better Off”). Their debut full-length album, Moodswings (2015), is a more cohesive release with epic ambitions. Their most recent single, “Let’s Just Dance” (2018), was a superb collaborative effort with songwriter Robert Gillies (X Ambassadors, Bebe Rexha) and producer Wally Gagel (Best Coast, Family of the Year) of recording studio WAX LTD. And the band’s next series of singles, which began with “Escape” in February, and continues with their upcoming release “Stay” promise to express a deeper level of sentiment than ever before.
