NYC-based retro pop duo Fly By Midnight have shared their new single “Waking Up” today. The track will be featured on the band’s forthcoming full length album, due out later in 2019, and follows their recent single “Waiting Tables.”
“‘Waking Up’ coming out on the first day of summer is pretty symbolic for us,” the band explains. “It’s the first taste of the feel good more dance-esque tracks that will be on the next album. It feels like summer to us.”
Following sold out album shows in New York and Los Angeles, along with festival appearances at Firefly & Panorama, the duo has built a mass following on their YouTube channel with over 250,000 subscribers. Their most recent singles “Lovely” & “You Belong” both premiered at #1 on Apple Music’s Pop Hot Tracks, as well as Spotify’s New Music Friday US, UK & Sweden. The duo also just wrote & produced emerging pop newcomer VINCINT’s new single “Please Don’t Fall In Love.”
Fly By Midnight is comprised of singer/songwriter Justin Bryte & producer/songwriter Slavo. Coming off an unexpected writing streak for other artist releases such as Jake Miller’s single “Nobody Else” & VHS Collection’s indie success “So I Met Someone,” the duo has continued to generate strong independent buzz. Their consistently strong releases have been praised by tastemakers such as Billboard, Buzzfeed, NYLON, Huffington Post, Ones To Watch, and many others.
