It has been a little over six months since Denver alt-pop project MOVES released his last single, “Shadow,” but his new music is well worth the wait. Today, we’re excited to bring you “Battles,” the newest single from MOVES mastermind, Aaron Rothe.
The incredibly catchy track, which can be heard now below, is a perfect push and pull between light and dark. Instrumentally, the song is bright and hopeful, contrasting perfectly with the vulnerable lyrics and making for an uplifting and inspirational listen.
Of the new track, Rothe said, “This is a song about the internal battles we all silently fight but tend to not talk about. It’s lyrically a confession and instrumentally a celebration of this human condition. The admission of not being in a good place inspired me because I knew that better times were just around the corner and I wanted to encourage anyone who listens to keep going.”
