Brooke Candy has released her latest single “XXXTC,” featuring east-coast rapper Maliibu Miitch and pop hitmaker Charli XCX. From her long-awaited debut album SEXORCISM, out later this year, “XXXTC” blends raw, sensual energy with raunchy lyrics and husky vocals to make Brooke‘s hyper-sexual core almost palpable.
Embracing an innate but taboo aspect of femininity, SEXORCISM places sexual liberation back at the forefront of Brooke‘s artistry. Exploring sexuality and radical female expression with an authenticity rediscovered through her 2018 string of political, pop-punk anthems – such as “WAR” and the deeply feminist “My Sex,” featuring Pussy Riot, Mykki Blanco, and MNDR – SEXORCISM subverts gender norms to discuss sex from a transgressive female perspective, led by those who are comfortable in their own skin and aren’t willing to settle for less than exactly what they want.
“XXXTC” follows the recent release of Brooke‘s single “Happy,” which candidly explores her own struggles with mental health. An accomplished multi-hyphenate, Brooke is back to reclaim her title as the Freaky Princess – this time on her own terms.
Marking Brooke‘s first single since signing to NUXXE, the record label home to Shygirl, COUCOU CHLOE and oklou, “XXXTC” marks yet another collaboration in a string of projects with Sega Bodega. Last year, Brooke directed a video for his self*care project, while Sega contributed sound design to her landmark adult film I Love You.
