Witterquick, one of the UK’s hottest new bands, have released a music video for their new track, “Run”. The video was shot by a friend of the band, Oli Pestell, and co-directed by himself and Ollie Chanter (bass). The duo have co-created most of the Witterquick music videos.
Ollie says of the video, “Run is about seeing something through, and fighting through the struggle. We wanted the video to act as a loop of sorts; sometimes you have to do something over and over, and keep hitting to make progress. Get back up, get back up. Again and again.”
Exploding onto the scene in 2016 supporting Nothing But Thieves on a sold out tour, Witterquick have released two EPs, sold out numerous shows in the UK, and received recognition across major media and streaming platforms.
Their sound combines the intensity of punk-rock with a razor sharp pop sensibility and the feel of 70’s and 80’s stadium greats. Bassist Ollie Chanter says of the band’s approach, “We’re not trying to be anyone else, we don’t want to be like anyone else, if you aren’t doing your own thing what’s the point?”
The release of ‘Run’ is accompanied by a UK tour that starts this week (details below).
