Award-winning globally renowned electronic music producer NETSKY has returned with a brand new single entitled “Snitch” featuring Aloe Blacc. Get it HERE via Republic Records and Casablanca Records and stream it now below.
“Snitch” hints at the genre-crossing global expanse of NETSKY’s undeniable style. Electrifying the Powerlines electronic dance music half of his upcoming Palmtrees & Powerlines project, the single remains a tried-and-true anthem for the dance floor. He has regularly played it live throughout the past year during DJ sets in clubs and on some of the biggest festival stages, igniting crowds in the process. On the tune, he pairs the pluck of dreamy synths, bass-y production, and island drums with funky liquidity and club-ready drops. Over this unpredictable backdrop, Aloe Blacc hops from the opening declaration, “I ain’t fucking with you no more, because you a snitch and that’s a no no,” into a catchy chant.
About the song, NETSKY commented, “This song started it’s life in the Stargate studio in Venice – Stargate and I had a session with Aloe Blacc, we were playing through a bunch of beats that we had made and there was just one of those magic moments where everyone was completely on the same page. I would never have thought this was the kind of beat that Aloe would go for; it’s pretty different for him, but he loved it and absolutely killed the verses. I started playing it out live at my shows at the beginning of this year and it got an amazing reaction so I knew I wanted to get it out in time for summer, and hopefully you’ll hear it at a lot of festivals over the next few weeks!”
“Snitch” arrives hot on the heels of his recent banger “I Don’t Even Know You Anymore” featuring Bazzi and Lil Wayne. The latter not only put up 21 million Spotify streams, but it also drew acclaim from Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, EDM.com, and more. Both songs herald the upcoming arrival of Palmtrees & Powerlines—due very soon.
After headlining the Main Stage at Tomorrowland July 28, NETSKY rounds out the summer with a string of West Coast touring before heading back to Europe to headline arenas and other festivals. Stay tuned for details on his Netsky & Friends show boasting an all-star lineup rounded out by Young Thug, A-Trak, Alison Wonderland, Jauz, and more.
