Gorgon City and MK Join Forces to Release “There For You”

    By Dom VigilAugust 16, 2019

Acclaimed UK House Duo Gorgon City have teamed up with the platinum selling and genre-defining US producer, DJ and remixer MK (Marc Kincen) for a slice of vocal-house heaven on “There For You.” Listen to the song now below.

The summer release of “There For You” comes fresh from a stream of successful dance floor focused productions this year from the prolific Gorgon City including “Lick Shot,”“Delicious” and “Elizabeth Street;” all released via their own REALM imprint. Along with their solo productions, Gorgon City recently teamed up with US dance royalty Kaskade on the track “Go Slow.” The collaboration that featured the rising vocalist Roméo is currently at #1 in the US Billboard Dance chart.

It’s been an incredible 12 months for Gorgon City following the release of their sophomore album Escape in August 2018. Having had an incredible sold out performance at London’s Printworks in addition to some highly praised sets at Coachella and EDC Vegas, along with playing for 4,500 fans at their REALM event at the Brooklyn Mirage, the pair are currently in the midst of their summer Ibiza residency with Defected at Eden. With further REALM events forthcoming at San Francisco’s The Midway and San Diego’s Petco Park, Gorgon City and are also prepping for performances at Damian Lazarus’ ‘Get Lost’ event in Israel along with a huge debut at London’s Tobacco Dock on Oct 19th.

“There For You” comes in the midst of a hugely busy summer for MK who has been touring the Area10 brand to some of the world’s most sought-after party locations including Parklife, Creamfields and Scotland’s EH-1. Responsible for creating some of the defining sounds and biggest tracks of early house music, MKhas recently released the summer hit “Body 2 Body” which has racked up more than5 million combined streams to date. Last year MK’s gold-selling single “Back & Forth”, peaked at #12 in the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart and remains a mainstay on streaming playlists everywhere.

No strangers to creative and successful collaborations, MK & Gorgon City have each achieved close to 1 billion global streams, and more than 10 million in global track sales across their careers to date. Gorgon City’s top 10 debut album Sirens included the top 5 hit “Ready For Your Love” and massive singles “Go All Night” ft Jennifer Hudson, “Unmissable,” “Real,” and “Imagination.”

Loaded with MK’s signature piano melodies and blended with a versatile vocal direction, “There for You” is undoubtedly both a celebration and testament to the hard work that the talented and well-oiled London duo & Detroit mastermind have put in over the last decade.

Both Gorgon City and MK are giants amongst house music hitmakers and “There For You” is set for further dominance across both the dance floors and airwaves.
