Whether it was Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. that changed your life or if it was a smaller, unsigned artist like Virginia post-hardcore band pulses. that was pumping through your speakers throughout the majority of the year, there’s no denying that 2017 was a great year for music.
It always seems like spring and fall are the busiest times of the year for concerts and this October in Colorado is no exception. There are countless incredible artists (both local and touring) playing in Denver this month, but we’ve managed to narrow down things down to 13 shows that you can’t miss this month – a fitting number for the spookiest month of the year.
Romantic, intimate and sometimes completely and utterly heartbroken, LANY are exploring the ups and downs of love on their self-titled debut full length album. With lush instrumentals and transparent lyricism, LANY invite listeners into their world while also expanding on their sound, and the result is a very relatable release that you’re sure to fall in love with.
It may have been a week night, but that didn’t stop Troye Sivan and support LANY from selling out The Ogden Theatre on Tuesday, February 16th. By the time I arrived at the venue, it was just a few minutes before doors opened, and the massive line of dedicated fans wrapped around the venue and down the block, with teens who had been camping out for hours dominating the front. When doors finally opened, it was nearly a stampede – a race to get the best spot in the venue for Troye Sivan’s sold-out debut performance in Denver, Colorado.
